About the campaign
As Hurricane Matthew passed through North Carolina, the flooding started, and continued for weeks. Swollen rivers kept rising, causing $1.5 billion in damage to 100,000 homes, businesses, and government buildings in North Carolina, according to a state estimate.
This campaign was inspired by the work of Rally + Relief, an ongoing effort to raise funds for the area in southeastern NC affected by Hurricane Matthew.
All donations and proceeds received will be given to the North Carolina Community Foundation Statewide Disaster Relief Fund. Lumberton, NC and surrounding areas will be out of water for 2-4 weeks and even then, the water may not be completely safe to use and drink. Many residents will have to find new homes, clothes, jobs, and more life essentials. We hope that you'll join us in helping the members of our community during this time of great need.
