About the campaign
We are an active duty military family looking to adopt a sibling group of four children, two boys and two girls ages 6 – 13), from Ukraine. We hosted the oldest three this summer and had fallen in love with them, and they have asked us to bring them to America forever. We have two older daughters, ages 25 and 22 who have also fallen in love and are excited to have their brothers and sisters’ home permanently.
We have been married for 25 years, and Scott has been in the military for 22 years. We were high school sweethearts, and I had always dreamed of having a big family. As young people starting our lives in the military, we decided we could not afford to bring too many children into the world and stopped after our second child.
Since then we have pursued education, and both have thriving professional careers. He is a Sergeant First Class in the military, and I have completed my Educational Specialist in Organizational Leadership K-12 and currently teach as a Resource Teacher at a local elementary school.
We recently learned about an organization that brings orphans from Ukraine to the United States to experience a summer with a family. We chose a sibling group of four, but only the oldest three could come since the youngest didn’t meet the age requirements. She will be old enough to fly at Christmas, and we are looking forward to meeting her. We cannot imagine our lives without these children in it. They need a forever home, and we want to provide that for them.
The funds we raise will go to pay for hosting, adoption, and travel fees until the finalization of the adoption. Thank you for reading our story and supporting our cause.
