As Jan's (JJ's) children, our hope is to spread the same message our Mom has declared during her fight against breast cancer: Faith over Fear. All money raised through this campaign will help offset medical expenses for the Vartanian family.

About the campaign
Jan's (JJ's) story began on February 1, 2017 – a diagnosis of stage 3 breast cancer, Invasive Ductal Carcinoma – news that tends to be earth-shattering. But not for Jan. A woman strong and rooted in her faith, she was going to take what others would to be detrimental, and use it for something far greater than a diagnosis.
Those that know Jan know how committed she is to her family, friends, and supporting ministries. Jan retired from her job at Verizon 10 years ago. Since then, she has raised and cared for her granddaughter, and has now returned back to work to help provide for the needs of her family.
Jan also started her own ministry, making and distributing gift baskets to help support a ministry near and dear to her heart in the Dominican Republic. This is something she has loved to do, spending hours hand-making and distributing beautiful gift baskets across the U.S. Jan has raised thousands of dollars to send to and help meet the needs of Freedom International Ministries.
If you've interacted with Jan, you know that she has impacted your life in more ways than one. Whether it has been with her amazing cooking talents, or simply encouraging you with words of wisdom, Jan has always found time for others, even if it meant sacrificing time for herself.
As we launch this campaign, our hope is that we can show Jan our love and support. Not only financially, but wearing and sharing where her faith lies. It is through Christ alone that she finds her strength. Thank you so much for your support, prayers, and words of encouragement!! We as a family can't thank you enough.
