MudFOLK: Laura

MudFOLK: Laura

Welcome back to the MudFOLK series. Today we meet one of our amazing Assistant Managers, Laura. Laura joined the team about a year ago and quickly demonstrated her passion for all things pottery. Let's jump in!

What do you wish we knew about your job?

Well for one, I work with awesome co-workers! Everyday the pottery team gives 100% and I am thankful to lead a group that is as engaged and hardworking as they are. Keeping pottery production running smoothly is no easy task. It’s messy, physically draining, and stressful to create handmade products quickly in mass numbers. Yet, it is well worth the effort knowing it’s supporting clean water in the Central African Republic and spreading love and encouragement to customers. The best moments that come from my job are when I am laughing with my co-workers, when I am able to embrace mistakes and change at work and look forward positively, and when I am mindful of the lives that are blessed through MudLOVE.

If you could describe your MudLOVE superpower, what would it be and why?

I think if I were to have a MudLOVE super power it would be to work with my feet. I’m sure along with this super power I would be able to levitate in the air so that as soon as my feet started working with the clay I wouldn’t immediately fall to the ground. I would want this super power purely for the satisfaction of knowing I could work with my feet.

What's that *one* thing you're really into right now?

The one thing I am really into right now is dance videos. I have always wanted to take dance lessons (specifically ballet, ballroom, and hip hop), but I have never invested in them. I recently discovered some new dancer that are so inspiring and it is making me wonder if I should take dance lessons. I mean, what a great way to stay healthy and have fun. Check them out:

Tell us about your favorite MudLOVE product:

I think one of my favorite MudLOVE products is the HeartLand Upright Mug. Of course I am biased to pottery products but you can never go wrong with a mug; and the style and form of the HeartLand collection is super classy.

Thanks for your hard work leading the Pottery Team, Laura! We're better because you're here.
